Taking care of your appearance also includes beauty treatments to ensure the health of your skin or hair. It also happens that you might have to deal with some form of imperfection - perhaps exacerbated by various genetic predispositions. In this regard, there are those who find themselves with sparse eyelashes and eyebrows; then there are those who have to deal with having eyelashes and eyebrows which grow quickly and are too bushy.

However, there are completely natural DIY products and remedies that can help. These are delicate and chemical-free ingredients for the body that will not cause irritation to the skin. Find out about some of these by reading on below:

  • For thicker and healthier eyelashes: coconut oil, more than other oils of vegetable origin, helps eye lashes to appear thicker and denser, and strengthens them. The fact that it contains lauric acid helps it to penetrate the shafts of the lashes. So, this natural treatment becomes a defense against bacteria that can cause eye irritation; and it helps the lashes to be more hydrated and nourished, making them less prone to falling out.
How to use this product? Use organic virgin coconut oil. Wash your hands thoroughly, take a bit of oil with your index finger, rub it between the two index fingers and then run your fingers over the lashes; also close your eyes to run your fingers at the base of the lashes, but be careful not to let the oil get into your eyes - then proceed slowly and with small quantities of product. You could also use a new, clean mascara brush to do this.
  • Remove make-up and cleanse your face with olive oil: make sure you don't have any kind of allergic reaction to olive oil (but you can also use sweet almond or grapefruit seed oil). In the evening, before proceeding with your usual cleansing routine, you can eliminate makeup residues and impurities with olive oil.
How to use this product? With dry and clean hands, take a small amount of oil and rub it on the skin like any other cleanser, massaging for a few seconds. Then, wet a soft cloth with warm water and remove everything from the face. Repeat the two steps until you have completely cleansed your face. It is recommended to use clean mini towels every time. This is a natural method also used by actors and models, but beware: when the make-up is thick, you have to repeat the operation up to 20 times (some say they had to do it up to 40 time, for heavy stage makeup) before having removed everything.
  • For hair regrowth after shaving: those with very strong hair often feel a slight pain in the places where new hairs are emerging a few days after shaving. To relieve this pain you can massage the skin with the following: Aloe vera gel, coconut oil or sweet almond oil. Two or three drops of tea tree essential oil can also be added to the oils just mentioned.
  • If you often wear lipstick, especially those with a matte finish or lip dyes, before applying them, protect your lips with good quality cocoa butter, making sure it is absorbed properly. In fact, make-up for the mouth is often not sufficiently moisturizing and has the opposite effect when it is not of a good quality.
