Miniature Christmas villages are charming, cute decorations/dioramas that are much beloved by young and old at this time of the year. Most often set up in shops, you may think you don't have enough space to lay out your own Christmas village at home. Well, not so fast!
Actually, there's a number of creative ways you can set up a Christmas village in your home - keep reading for some great ideas:

You don't need to have wide windowsills: even sills a few centimeters wide will allow you can set up an adorable, tiny village. Just purchase compact house models (or even do a bit of DIYing to make them yourself).
And even if you can't get anything onto a (very) narrow windowsill, you can always stick paper houses on the glass of the window (or draw them directly onto the glass using whiteboard markers, or similar).
3. On the windowsill above the kitchen sink

Do you have some space on the windowsill above the kitchen sink, between the faucets and the window? If so, it's the perfect place for you to set up your Christmas landscape!
4. Floating houses

No free windowsills for your miniature Christmas village? Well, how about hanging stylized houses (like the ones shown here) from the branches of some other decorative arrangement you have at home. You will also find a thousand ways of making these houses by hand online (using paper, cardboard, salt dough, wood, and more).
5. Have you thought about using the stairs?
If you have wide staircase (or one with steps that flare out in the corners), this space could be ideal for setting up your Christmas villages, as shown in the example here.

Typically, a white wool or flannel blanket is used for the snow on which the miniature village is set up, but cotton wool also works well for this. And don't forget the fairy lights: at night, they'll give your village a magical touch!
