Bathroom shelves: the perfect solution for storing your things, even in small bathrooms
It's not uncommon to run out of space in the bathroom for all the products we use and need to have readily to hand while we take care of our personal hygiene and grooming.
When this happens, putting up shelving can be the answer. Below, we suggest some useful solutions that might meet your needs:
1. Vertical shelves
A vertical, wooden shelf will be perfect for adding a bit of charm to your bathroom and providing you with a bit more storage space. Perfect for minimalist-styled bathrooms.
2. Free-standing shelf
If you want to keep the space around your sink free but don't want to drill into the tiles, a perfect solution could be a free-standing wooden shelf: this will help you store all your beauty products, while at the same time, keeping the sink countertop clear.
3. Acrylic shelves and no drilling
You can put up an acrylic (plastic) shelf and with no need to drill any holes for it: light and easily secured to a wall (with double-sided tape, for example), this shelf is very easy to install, even for DIY beginners. Shallow and aesthetically pleasing, shelves like this areperfect for holding small, lightweight objects.
4. Hair accessories
To store hairdryers, straighteners, brushes, combs and other hair accessories, choose a shelf with hooks and containers, like the one shown here. A shelf like this will become your "hair care station".
5. Glass and metal shelf
A glass and metal shelf with a towel rail will help clear the floor from clutter and furnish your bathroom elegantly.
6. Shower corner shelf
Typically, you always need to have shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and sponges to hand in the shower, and to do this, you can put up a corner shelf. Choose a perforated metal model which will allow water to drain. Add hooks to hang up sponges to dry and secure the shelf to the wall using strong, double-sided tape if you don't want to drill.
7. Shelves above the toilet
Have you ever thought about using the free space above your toilet? Use this space to store towels and other bathroom products by installing a multi-tier shelving unit.
8. Glass shelves
For a modern and/or minimalist-styled bathroom, choose practical glass shelves: not only will they take up very little space, but they will look elegant too.
9. Multi-compartment shelving unit
A multi-compartment shelving unit will not only help you neatly store everything you need for the bathroom, but will furnish the room stylishly.
10. Wooden shelves
For classic or rustically-styled bathrooms, the ideal solution is wooden shelves. Choose whatever shape and size that best suits your bathroom. For a more "industrial" look, use metal brackets to support your wooden shelves.
