5 mistakes to avoid making to keep your shower cubicle in pristine condition
If you want to keep your shower cubicle in pristine condition after you've installed in, it is essential to clean it periodically, taking care not to make the following, serious mistakes:
1 - Using abrasive sponges

The corners of the shower cubicle are the areas where dirt, mold, limescale and other residue is most likely to accumulate. To clean these spots properly, however, it is necessary to use the right methods.
Abrasive sponges, for example, although effective in removing grime, can scratch the surfaces of the shower cubicle, damaging them irreparably.
Rather use microfibre cloths instead, which are delicate and will not damage surfaces, but are also durable enough to remove dirt.
2 - Using aggressive detergents

Just like abrasive sponges, aggressive detergents or anti-limescale products can also damage the shower cubicle and even compromise the waterproofing seals.
Given this, it is best to avoid using excessively aggressive and/or corrosive products to remove limescale and dirt. Instead, buy detergents specifically formulated to be gentle and non-damaging.
3 - Not drying glass properly

When cleaning the shower cubicle, it is essential to rinse off and carefully dry any glass surfaces (like the door, for example).
However, leaving water droplets on the glass could lead to limescale stains forming when the water evaporates naturally. Use a squeegee to help with this chore.
4 - Not removing hair from the drain

Over time, hair will naturally accumulate around the drain/plughole and, if neglected, could block the pipes. To prevent this happening, we recommend that you regularly clean the drain, removing hair and other "sticky" residue (in particular, soap/shampoo slime).
5 - Not cleaning the shower head correctly

The shower head must be kept clean and the spray holes should be kept clear of any limescale obstructions which could reduce the power and efficiency of the head's water jets.
Treat the shower head to the same anti-grime, anti-limescale cleaning methods and products you use for the rest of the shower cubicle.
To ensure that your shower remains in optimal condition over time, it is crucial to clean it regularly and avoid making these common mistake.
