Monochromatic lamps: a design trend that can adapt to your tastes
From the desk, to the bedside table, to a coffee table in the living room or in the entryway and more: if you think about it, there are many places in the house where it is useful to have a table lamp to light your way.
In this regard, it is worth highlighting a current, popular trend, which has the use of monochromatic (single-color) lamps as a focus. It doesn't matter what material they are made of, the lamps are all one color. So, let's check out a few examples:
A bright, yellow mushroom
Here's an example of a table lamp that will bring joy to any table or desk. It has a touch control that allows you to turn it on, off and select from one of three different brightness levels. This could be the practical and fun solution for a small bedside table, for example!
A pencil with a wine-colored hat
The design of this lamp - which looks like a pencil wearing a crooked hat - was created by Christophe Mathieu. This is an LED, battery-operated lamp (like the above example), so there will be no power cables to deal with. It also comes in other colors (yellow, light blue and pale pink, for example), but this wine colored model is the most striking!
A timeless model
Here's an example of a timeless classic. Most of us will associate this model of lamp with the Pixar logo (and it's adorable animation of the tiny, jumping lamp). The articulated arm allows you to direct the beam wherever you need it, and the "washed out" light blue color of the lamp pictured here is very elegant.
An alternative version
The lamp is based on the Pixar one above, but is a more compact, industrially-styled piece. This is the Môma lamp, available in several cheerful pastel colors. It's made of steel, with clean lines, and a black fabric cable. It would look good almost anywhere - from offices, to bedside tables, bedrooms, dining rooms and beyond!
Another mushroom - this one for the outdoors!
Hay Pao is a portable lamp designed by Naoto Fukasawa. It has the attractive lines of a mushroom, and comes in a number of colors (but bright red is the one that strikes the heartmost striking). Extremely simple in its shape, it communicates a sense of comfort and serenity. Both the base and the lampshade are made of highly resistant polycarbonate, making it ideal for outdoor use. The bulb remains covered by the structure itself, so the lamp diffuses a well-distributed, warm light. Adorable in the home, in the garden or on the balcony!
Small, powerful and colorful
This lamp is called the Mini Light and is a model from Lund London. It is a wireless lamp, easy to recharge and designed to be used almost anywhere. The concave cylindrical base holds a perfectly round bulb that has a multi-colored lighting feature, so you can choose between eight different colors. Made of silicone and plastic, this lamp is soft and light!
An origami lamp
This pleated lamp is made entirely of paper using origami techniques: light and stylish, this lamp would look beautiful in the living room or in the entryway? This model also has a fabric-covered cable for a more refined look.
A bright tomato
Ready to spread a warm, reddish glow around your home? The source of this diffused light has the amusing shape of a ripe, round tomato - except for the base, which is flat to provide stability. In our opinion, this lamp would look great in the kitchen!
