Is you regular shoe rack too small for all your shoes? Make more space using these methods

You don't have to be a footwear aficionado to know that finding the space to adequately and neatly store shoes - especially in small homes - can be challenging.
That said, there are ways to optimize the space available for storing all your footwear. For example, by dividing your shoes into "categories" based on the season and/or frequency is one way you can set about resolving this problem.
So, what if your shoe rack is too small to hold all your shoes? Well, keep reading to learn about some creative solutions:
1. Wall hooks

For the shoes you use most often, mount hooks on a wall to hang them up on when you get home.
2. Underbed storage containers

Have you ever wondered if you can use the space under your bed for storage? Well, why not use it to store shoes that you use less frequently: formal shoes and/or seasonal footwear, for example. Underbed storage containers are readily available in many shops (or online). Alternatively, DIYing a storage box yourself is a very simple project.
3. Transparent containers

Use multiple transparent/clear containers in which to store your shoes individually: you can stack these neatly in a closet, at the entryway or in the bathroom and your shoes will always be tidy and easily identifiable.
And what if you have non-transparent containers available for this purpose? Use these, but label them for quick identification.
4. Shelves

Put up some shelves in a corner of your bedroom or inside a closet for extra shoe-storage space.
5. Shelf risers

Using shelf risers in a closet makes a lot more space available to you - as shown here. Shelf risers take advantage of free vertical space, occupying areas that would otherwise remain unused.
6. Bench at the entryway

Place a bench at your entryway with a shelf at the bottom. This will have the dual function of storing the shoes you use daily and providing you with a place to sit down when you put them on.
7. Wicker baskets

If you like the idea of the bench at the entryway but don't want to add a shelf, you can choose to place wicker baskets under the bench: one for each member of your family to put their own shoes into.
8. Door pockets storer

If you want to keep your shoes out of sight but you don't have a space for this in a closet or under the bed, try using a hangable multi-pockets storer. This storer can then be hung up behind the door of the bedroom, bathroom or even in a corridor.
