Are you panicking because of the change of season? Follow these steps and your fears will be allayed
Let's admit it: the change of seasons is something that tests the patience of even the calmest of people. We would just like to open the closet, close it, wait a minute, and, upon reopening it, like magic, see everything ready and organized for the new season. But no, it's not that simple, and one needs a lot of self-control to resist the urge to throw everything away and buy new things. If that's your intention, go ahead, but remember that clothes can be donated or recycled.
Let's try to think about how to get to work done. There are steps to follow, simple and straightforward, to do everything without losing a lot of time and in a practical way.
Where to start for the change of season outfits
First of all, choose the right day. Take a moment for yourself to tidy up without rushing, with the goal of not spending hours on end doing so. Once you've picked the ideal day, proceed following this guide:
- Clear the surfaces. Chaos will ensue, and you're well aware of this. It's better if there is no clutter around that might not only fall and break, but also disappear, swallowed by the closet's "black hole"! You need the surfaces clear to place everything on that you'll take out of your closet or the boxes and bags in which you'll store them.
- Empty and check. Gradually start emptying the closet, taking care to check the items you're about to put away. Face it, there are things you'll never wear again - and it's best to admit this! When will you wear them again? Probably never, so set all these clothes aside to make room for new ones.
- Clean and dry your closet. Once everything is emptied, give your closet and drawers a good cleaning. Disinfect, dust, and dry. This way, it will be clean and fresh, and you won't risk moths infesting it.

Once you've completed the steps, move on to the phase that involves the clothes we'll need for the upcoming season.
- Select and freshen up the clothes. Take the clothes for the new season out of their boxes and bags. If you notice that they don't smell great and could use a bit of a refresh, you can either wash them or simply leave them outside to air.
- Put everything back in order. After freshening up the clothes, you can proceed with arranging them. As you do so, check to see if there are any you can get rid of.
- Recycle or donate. What happens to the clothes you don't want to keep? There are two options: 1) you can choose to donate them if they are still in good condition, or 2) you can consider recycling them (into cleaning rags, for example).
How to make this chore enjoyable?

These are the main steps in doing this "change of season" chore. To make it even more "bearable," you could choose to do it while listening to relaxing music (perhaps jazz or whatever genre you prefer). You'll see that it will be easier to get through this chore with a bit of background "motivation".
Having said all this, all that's left is to wish you good luck, and don't be afraid to get rid of what you don't/won't wear or use.
