Ecological cleaning of the induction oven: the best products for excellent results
Induction (electric) cooktops are gaining in popularity, not only for the numerous benefits they bring to our kitchens, (allowing faster and more even cooking of our food), but also for their sustainability. Powered by electricity, induction cooktops offer significant cost savings compared to traditional gas stoves, while simultaneously reducing CO2 emissions.
Among the many advantages of this type of cooktop, the ease of cleaning stands out. With its smooth surface, it is easier to remove dirt and any food residues, especially if they are not allowed to become "baked on". However, cleaning is also a challenge for induction cooktops, as the glass surface is quite delicate and can easily be damaged by the use of steel wool, blades, scrapers, rough cloths, or overly aggressive or chlorine-based cleaners.
So, if we want to clean our induction cooktop using natural products, how should we proceed? Let's find out below:
Ecological cleaning of the induction oven
To keep your cooktop pristine, wipe it with a soft cloth or a damp sponge after each use; wait for it to cool down first but without letting too much time pass to prevent food stains from becoming "baked on".
It's advisable to regularly perform a more thorough cleaning, avoiding the use of overly aggressive or abrasive cleaners. You can use a solution made of water and a small amount of eco-friendly dish detergent, which has strong degreasing action and allows you to eliminate even the most stubborn grease residue. Dampen a soft cloth or sponge and gently scrub your cooktop, if necessary, leaving the cloth for 15-30 minutes on the surface to remove tough build-ups. Rinse and dry with a clean cloth.
Alternative remedies for ecological cleaning of the oven
If cooking with water or inadequate drying after cleaning has left limescale stains, you can replace the water and soap solution with white vinegar. Rub it on the oven top using a soft cloth, and/or let it act for 15 minutes before rinsing off (if the stains are particularly stubborn).
An alternative but effective remedy for this purpose - especially for very stubborn stains - is the use of toothpaste. It should be the creamy type without microgranules to avoid scratching the glass. Apply the toothpaste to a soft cloth and gently rub it on the surface with circular motions. Rinse off using a sponge or a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly.
Your cooktop will be as pristine as the day it was bought!
