Natural ingredients to get rid of spiders
The use of mint essential oils and the smell of chestnuts are natural repellents that appear to be most effective in repelling spiders! Research confirms that these resources and substances are capable of acting as effective spider deterrents.
The use of lemon (or other citrus scents/oils) to deter spiders is not recommended and was shown not to be effective. So how should we proceed? Well, you can spray mint essential oil around windows and/or possible other access points to dissuade spiders from entering your home. And then... put out a bunch of bowls with chestnuts!
Place the chestnut-filled containers in strategic spots in the home and near possible access points and you'll be amazed by the results!
