We all want a neat, tidy laundry closet, but how can we do this? Well, it helps when we have the right accessories.
Large wardrobes, or even simple chests of drawers, can be much easier to use and clean, if we tidy up their interiors with extra accessories. More times than not, the furniture we have does not have all the compartments we would like: usually there are just few large shelves, a few drawers, and a hangers rod. In short, lack of dividers/compartments causes a mess to be created in our closets.
Given this, let's take a fresh look on how to organize our closets:
Containers for sheets, with labels
There is a DIY method that many use to immediately recognize where sheets are and where they need to go. Firstly, an entire bed linen set is folded and packed into a pillow case. Then this packed case is stored in a container (similar to a document holder) with a label identifying the contents - simple!
Dividers for wardrobe shelves
These dividers are useful in any closet, regardless of what it contains, and the linen closet is no exception. Therefore, if you have piles of different item types next to each other, keep them separated by using dividing panels.
Extra shelves for hanging up in the closet
Another alternative to having piles of clothes precariously balanced on the closet shelves is to add extra compartments by using hanging dividers/shelves. But be mindful of how much weight these hanging shelves can bear. Usually, it's best to use these hanging shelves to store items we use frequently.
Transparent drawers and containers for tidying up
Transparent containers are very handy for protecting your garments/linen from dust and without "losing sight of them". And they are available in various sizes, and are stackable in the space available.
Additional pull-out drawers
If the closet has large compartments, you can get a lot more space by equipping them with sets of pull-out drawers.
Soft and roomy containers
Finally, to store items which are only used seasonally, larger and softer containers - which are very roomy and sometimes also have a transparent panel for identification - are a vey handy resource.
