Essential oils, herbs and spices can help us perfume our homes naturally and quickly:

  • Reed diffuser: you can create a reed diffuser yourself by placing a teaspoon of an essential oil in a container and filling it up with a vegetable oil, such as almond oil or baby oil. Insert the reeds into the container and place it in the room you want to perfume;
  • Warm ambient perfume: a perfect perfume to warm up your winter days can be prepared by placing a sliced orange in a saucepan together with cloves and cinnamon sticks. Add water to cover the ingredients and cook over a low heat for several hours to perfume your whole house. You can also place your saucepan in front of a heat source such as a fireplace or stove or on top of an active radiator.
  • Gel perfume: you can also easily prepare a gel perfume, like those commonly used in bathrooms. Put a cup of water with 4 packs of gelatin on the stove on low heat, blending the ingredietns until fully dissolved.  Then, add a teaspoon of your favorite essential oil, a cup of water and a tablespoon of salt, continuing to mix. Pour the mixture into glass jars, let them cool and place in the rooms you want to perfume.

Mix 200 grams of bicarbonate of soda with 100 grams of corn starch in a bowl, adding 5 drops of your favorite essential oil. Place this mixture obtained in a sprinkle dispenser and sprinkle over the carpet. Leave to act for at least 30 minutes before vacuuming up.
  • Lemon oil and basil spray: you can prepare a lemon and basil, odor-eliminating spray easily. First of all, bring 150 ml of water to the boil, then add 4 tablespoons of dried basil and boil for a few minutes.
