A mountain of toys in the kids' rooms: tidy up using these practical solutions
Who didn't have at least one toy that was a favorite when growing up? And if we now have young kids, their rooms are probably full of various types of toys. But given their sizes and shapes, these toys are not so easy to keep neat and tidy.
Here are some creative solutions to solve this problem - read on to find out more:
A hammock for the toys
A hammock can be the perfect storage "device" for loads of toys, so why not put one up in your kids' room? And it looks fun too!
A hammock can be made using netting, but also scraps of fabric (like from old sheets). Perhaps choose fabrics with fun colors or patterns, and it will become a piece of furnishing that fits perfectly into the children's room.
A chest of wonders
There is something magical about chests and when they are used to store toys, they become proper pirate treasure chests for the kids!
Hanging toys
No space for a basket or a chest? Just like with the hammock, look up and "think vertically". From the ceiling, you can hang a basket, for example, to hold toys in. The important thing is that the toys remain easily accessible to the children (to preven any accidents).
The foot of the bed
Adults furnish the foot of the bed with chests or bookcases, while for the little ones it could be the space in which to store all the toys when they finished having fun with them.
Baskets
Baskets are great, all-purpose storage resources, so why not use some nice ones to store the kids' toys in?
On the bench... on the shelves
Let's face it: there are likely to be many more soft toys in the house than the kids will usually play with. For the less-popular toys, they can be "benched" in baskets placed on closet shelves until they make a "comeback".
The walls
Solutions to tidy up the closets
Vertical shoe racks to hang from closet rails is another useful idea for storing toys.
The wall shoe rack
Another shoe rack, but this one is for the wall: the type with large pockets can be secured to a wall or behind a door. Perfect for smaller toys.
To watch over the bed

Another inspiration from the decor for plants: those planters that look like railings on the wall, where we could place vases, are just as solid and ideal for toys, perhaps arranged to watch over the bed!
