There is nothing better than using a clean, perfumed bathroom. To make sure it smells good, we don't necessarily have to fill it with candles or use expensive air fresheners. Using alternative cleaning methods can achieve the same results.

Detailed below are some tips you can easily follow to ensure your bathroom remains clean and smelling pleasant.

To combat dirt and unpleasant odors, we can use products such as white vinegar or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda): both are excellent remedies for absorbing unpleasant odors. In the case of baking soda, it will take a little longer to act on its own and, for this reason, it can be added to our regular detergent. We can also make a spray detergent by adding baking soda, essential oils and water together and mixing.

Vinegar, on the other hand, should always be diluted with equal parts water and usually leaves a strong odor immediately after use. However, you just need to air out the bathroom for a little and you'll see your bathroom fixtures and ceramic tiles will be like sparkling clean and odor-free.

Instead of using your usual detergent for washing the bathroom surfaces, you can use Marseille soap. Just grate some of this soap and dissolve the flakes in hot water. When this mixture cools down, add a few drops of an essential oil you like, and you will now have a multipurpose detergent you can use everywhere!

And if you're in a hurry, but still want to use Marseille soap, you can take a sponge, make a small vertical incision to create a slit in it and then insert a piece of Marseille soap into this opening. In this way, as you sponge surfaces down, the soap will be dispensed. You can do the same just by wrapping a bar of the soap in a soft cloth

Easy, don't you think?
