White film on glasses: the remedies to make this disappear

The opaque film that is frequently deposited on our glasses is mainly caused by limescale, which over time turns the glass opaque. This happens especially to older glasses and those you use more frequently.
The good news is that you can easily get rid of this annoying problem because there are numerous natural remedies that help us in this task:
- a first method is to use white wine vinegar - known for its descaling and polishing properties but is also a very useful limescale remover. Just moisten a cloth with vinegar and use it to rub over your opaque glasses. They will be like new again in an instant;
- baking soda is another remedy you can use if the vinegar didn't work. Make a thick paste by mixing a spoonful with a little water and rub it over the entire surface of your glasses, then rinse off;
- if you want an even more effective remedy, prepare an effective descaler as follows: dilute a spoonful of Marseille soap flakes in 3 liters of water, add a cup of white vinegar and one cup of lemon juice; when you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, immerse the glasses to be cleaned in this and leave for at least 12 hours before rinsing off.
The emergency solution to remove the film from glasses
What if all these methods don't work? Then you will have to resort to the emergency solution: dip some cotton wool in acetone and carefully rub over the entire surface of the glass. At the end of this operation, be sure to wash your glasses thoroughly to remove any residue.
One way or another, your glasses will be perfectly clean and shiny again!
