Our floors may always be clean, but what about the tiles on the wall? We don't always devote the same attention to these, but taking care of them is actually quite easy. There are, of course, special mops and commercial detergents on the market to tackle this chore, but in reality, we can also get fantastic results by using a regular broom and standard detergents.

This DIY method will save space in your home and put money in your pocket. Read on to find out more:

Even if they get dirty much less frequently than floor tiles, the tiles that cover the bathroom walls, especially around the shower and near the sink, do require cleaning from time to time.

But to do this cleaning chore properly, you need suitable tools. And for this purpose, the broom with which you clean the floor can also work well for this task. Additionally, you will need two large microfibre cloths and some rubber bands.

As for the detergent, you can use your favorite products, but you could also use just a little dishwashing liquid or Marseille soap. If you want to eliminate any mold, you will also need hydrogen peroxide, and maybe some tea tree essential oil.

How to proceed: First of all, there is the dusting. Take one of the cloths, secure it around the bristles of the broom with the rubber bands and pass this DIY "dust-mop" over the walls. Then, wash the walls: replace the duster cloth with the other one and then, pour hot water into a spray bottle and add a teaspoon of the dishwashing liquid (or Marseille soap). Shake well to mix and spray the mixture directly onto the wall - using the broom to scrub, you should be able to reach everywhere.

In just a few minutes, you will have removed the dirt. If you want to combat t mold, put two parts of water and one part hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle, with just a drop of soap and 3-5 drops of tea tree essential oil. Use this mixture in the same way.

For a perfect finish, you can dry off the surfaces using a clean cloth.
