Dirty sink and drain? There is a practical and quick remedy to clean and sanitize them
Think about how many objects we use every day at home without bothering to clean them periodically. There are many of these and we often don't realize that they need some maintenance - at least until it's too late and they break down.
The kitchen sink is certainly one of these neglected objects: how often do we use it daily? Certainly, quite a lot. And being made of steel which is in continuous contact with water, it is completely normal for the sink to lose its shine. So, what can be done? There is a quick and practical remedy to solve this problem, and more... Ready to find out?

No one likes having a limescale-encrusted sink and faucets or, even worse, a clogged drain. In addition to being unsightly, limescale can compromise the correct functioning of these elements and, in more severe cases, having to call out a plumber.
This is a situation we never want to find ourselves in: we all know that plumbers bills are expensive, so why not prevent any damage happening in the first place? After all, it doesn't take very much effort: there is a remedy - or rather an object - which is simple, practical and fast that will help us keep our sink (and drains) in good condition.
So, what are we talking about? Dishwasher tablets. Yes, you got that right: these tablets contain detergent and other ingredients for cleaning dishes and they can have another function.
Descaling steel sink surfaces using these tablets is child's play. You just need one, held above the sink and then dissolved with running water. But don't dissolve the entire tablet. Keep half of it so that you can rub it around the sink and in spots where the most limescale has accumulated.
Once this is done, it's time to help us spread everything around with a sponge. Allow the ingredients to act for a few minutes before rinsing away. Thanks to the tablet, the sink will now be clean and the drain will be cleared.
But is this remedy only useful for the kitchen sink? The answer is no. We can use dishwasher tablets to clean many other things in the house, such as bathroom fixtures, faucets, oven doors, garbage cans, coffee machines, stained kettles, and in general, anything that needs cleaning and sanitation. Depending on the degree of limescale build-up and dirt, you may have to wait longer before rinsing away.
So what are you waiting for? It's time to give this a try!
