These DIY air fresheners are long-lasting and will make your home smell fragrant
We all love to live in a freshly-scented home, and this is down to two factors: maintaining an adequate level of cleanliness and using deodorants or air fresheners of various kinds. Most cleaning products are already scented, but, as we all know, the scent from detergent tends to fade quickly. As a result, we also tend to buy and fabric and air-fresheners as supplements.
There are certainly products of this nature on the market, but you can make your own, DIY perfumers. And you most likely already have most of the ingredients you need at home.
Creativo
Laundry softener
With the laundry softener, we can quickly prepare a spray perfume that can be used on curtains and upholstery when necessary. All you need to do is dilute a very small amount of fabric softener in a bottle of water (even better if distilled), and then spray. For an extra touch, you can add a few drops of an essential oil is compatible scent-wise with that of the fabric softener itself. Very easy!
Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
We all know that baking soda is capable of absorbing bad smells, and is used (along with vinegar) for many cleaning solutions. But we can also turn baking soda into a long-lasting air-freshener. But how? Simply put two or three tablespoons of baking soda in a small bowl and add 5-10 drops of an essential oil you like, and it's done! To enhance this mix, you can add dried flowers or even spices.
Further, we can use baking soda as a spray. Fill a spray bottle with water, pour two tablespoons of baking soda into it and shake to dissolve it well. Then add 10-15 drops of an essential oil you like. Shake well and it's ready to go!
Dried herbs and teas
Do you have any dried herbs, or maybe you make tea often? Well, all these natural substances can help us prepare excellent deodorants and air fresheners. There are some very fragrant teas that can replace potpourri, and used tea bags can also be used. Once dried out, tea leaves can be turned into a customized potpourri, perfumed with your favorite essential oils, and then enhanced by adding dried herbs or spices.
