Toothpaste and toilet paper are products that are always present in our bathrooms and essential for our daily hygiene. However, perhaps not everyone knows that toothpaste is very useful not only for the well-being of our teeth, but also for many other purposes. This paste is an invaluable ally for daily house cleaning chores and, if used together with toilet paper, its properties are further enhanced.

Our grandparents already knew some useful home cleaning tricks that involved the use of toothpaste, both by itself and in combination with toilet paper. For personal care, for example, toothpaste is very useful for whitening nails, removing bad smells from hands and stains caused by hair dye. For cleaning, on the other hand, we can take advantage of it to clean shoes, remove scratches from CDs and DVDs, clean silver jewelry and the iron, remove bad smells from baby bottles and prevent swimming goggles from fogging. Today we suggest the possible uses of this very useful dental paste for daily cleaning.

There are several ways in which you can use toothpaste, by itself or in combination with toilet paper, for household cleaning chores:

  • Eliminate bad smells: often caused by the excessive use of chemicals, these smells can come out of the toilet or from the pipes. In addition to using baking soda and vinegar for cleaning, you can prepare a paste with 2 tablespoons of toothpaste and 1 scoop of fabric softener. Spread it on the inside of a toilet paper roll: as it evaporates, it will gradually release its scent, perfuming the whole room at the same time.
  • Remove stains from clothes: another very useful way to take advantage of toothpaste is to remove grease stains from clothing. Apply a small amount of toothpaste to a moistened sheet of toilet paper and use it to rub the stain, which will instantly fade. For this chore, choose a toothpaste made from natural and non-abrasive ingredients, so as not to damage your clothes.
