To restore your non-stick pan, follow these steps:
- Wash the pan with water and a mild dish detergent, using a soft sponge;
- Dry it off and put it on the stove, heating it up;
- When the pan is hot, cover the entire surface with kitchen salt;
- Continue heating the pan until the salt turns golden;
- Throw the salt in the trash – or down the sink's drain (which will help clean it);
- Wipe the pan with a damp paper towel. Be careful during this step - you will need to let the pan cool down before doing this;
- At this point, your pan will be ready for use again.
We remind you that if the pan has deep scratches, it will need to be replaced; this method is only suitable for intact pans that have lost their non-stick properties or pans that are lightly scratched. Using salt, your pan will be able to regain its non-stick power and you can reuse it with confidence.
Don't be skeptical - try it and you will be pleasantly surprised!
