9 excellent solutions for making the most of the space under your bed
Raise your hand if you don't have enough space in your home: the bedroom, perhaps even more than other area in the home, is where chaos and mess seems to arise spontaneously. And it doesn't take much to make the room look untidy.
How often have you gone to put something away in the bedroom, only to find the closest already jam-packed? You can help yourself, however, by making better use of often-overlooked, available space - especially the space under the bed.
But this space is typically full of dust, dirt and lint - so, is it really a good idea to use it for storage? Indeed you can, using containers - even elegant ones that are also efficient storage resources.
In any houseware and furniture store - and obviously also online - you can find containers with semi-rigid sides and tops, which close properly and protect the contents from dust.
Those that will fit under the bed will have to be of a certain size, but it is easy to find suitable ones for your needs.
You will also be able to choose the materials the containers are made of. And if they are visible under the bed, their color and patterning should match the environment.
And in these containers, to make even more space, you can use vacuum storage bags!
There are also rigid plastic boxes, which often come equipped with wheels in order to easily push them in and out from under the bed.
