12 winning ideas on how to set up your dinner table for Eastertime
It's nice to gather around the dinner table with friends and relatives on the occasion of events like the Easter holidays. And when we organize a lunch or a dinner with friends, we usually take out our best dinner services. But we can go one step further: we can decorate the table thematically.
So, for Easter, we can refer to classical icons of the season: blooming nature, rabbits, chicks, carrots and more. Check out the ideas below for inspiration:
If you don't have time, or you prefer a minimalist style, just tie the table napkins around an egg and add a few green or flowery sprigs. These napkins will then look like elegant, stylized bunnies.
With sprigs of rosemary, you can create a kind of nest in which to place the egg.
You could also use twigs and moss, if you can get these materials easily.
For those who love something more flashy, there is the table centerpiece. Being able to use real plants and flowers is nice, but even using artificial ones can give you great results!
A tray full of moss in the centre of the table, some themed figurines and crockery reflects the colors of nature: sophisticated and perfectly themed, as well as easily modifiable if so desired!
If you have white ceramics, such as milk jugs, teapots and similar, they can become flower containers. Fill them with flowering buds and twigs and, if you want, place them on wooden disks and/or add colored eggs!
For a burst of cheer, decking out everything in orange tones - and with carrots as decorations - is a great idea.
For more neutral settings, you can use straw mats for place settings. The add some Easter-themed figurines to enhance the effect.
No time to buy new tablecloths or dishes? Then use your white ones, and revive them with napkins in a spring color. A few eggs or even chocolate bunnies, and you're done!
With a little time, you can make enchanting chains of colored paper butterflies - in gradient colors and shades - and hang them above the table: a fairytale table!
For a simple touch of class, your elegantly laid table becomes "Easter itself" with a cup full of colored eggs, or even chocolate eggs. One for each diner. Minimum effort, maximum result.
Another great, economical idea could be to buy some diapers or felt, and cut out placemats in the shape of bunnies from these materials!
Happy Easter!
