If you have any of these 12 items at home, it's time to throw them away
In just a few months staying in a house, an impressive mess can build up. And if the stay is for years, the situation can be almost out of control.
Certainly, this does not mean that everything needs to be thrown away, but we probably have a lot of things laying around which are only good for the trash can. Below we indicate 12 of these items, but there could be many more!
Video tapes
Videotapes are a legacy of a past that is not easy to imagine coming back ever again. This technology has been completely replaced by digital media. If you really don't want to throw them away, at least get their contents transferred to a digital format.
Pillows
The pillows where we use not only need to be cleaned periodically, but they should be replaced every two or three years, if we use them every day. They are a repository for germs and bacteria, and no amount of deep-cleaning really gets rid of this filth completely.
Sunscreens
Almost all cosmetics, and above all sunscreens, must be thrown away when they expire: they are valid for a few months, a maximum of one year, after expiry date, but not beyond. So, it's best not to buy too many of these products.
Boxes
If you have cats, it's cute to see how they play with empty boxes. But even here, it's best not to overdo it: keep the ones you're going to use right away and maybe a couple of others (preferably folded) for "just in case", but throw away the others (and recycle where possible).
Plastic cutlery
Sometimes, certain single-portion meals come with cutlery, which seems like a pity to throw away. But at some point, it's best to purge them from the drawers. Biodegradable cutlery, which has recently come onto the market, will certainly be a game-changer in this area.
Cables
How many electronic devices have we bought over time? Maybe we disposed of the devices themselves, but the cables often remain piled up in some drawer, box or bag. Every once in a while, it's best to get rid of these.
Shoes
If they are old and worn, it is best to find the courage to part with your beloved shoes - or maybe think about recycling using some creative DIY project (which you can find online).
Cell phones
We all know that cell phones aren't just for making calls, and most models have an effective life of 2 to 3 years: increasingly "heavy" applications, navigation that requires more and more resources, little space, photos of low quality - all of these factors push us to buy modern cell phones frequently. So, there is no need to hold on to your old models.
PCs
Those who study, work and use a PC every day know that it is best to buy a medium-low value PC which has relatively modern technology and is easily replaced: when the time comes, be brave and invest in the latest models (that you can afford) to keep up with the times.
Clothes
Among the items that are most difficult to get rid of, are our favorite clothes - even if they are worn out. Being sentimentally attached does not mean we have to keep worn-out clothes forever.
Glasses
If your glasses have lenses that are defective, or the frames are damaged and bent, it's time to say goodbye them.
Towels and sheets
There comes a time when towels and sheets become too threadbare, stained and even ripped. That's when you should perhaps find the time to turn them into tea towels (or just throw them away).
