An IKEA hack: Turn simple vases into a stylish bedside/coffee table
It is true that there are countless shops, including online, where we can find an infinite variety of ready-made furniture and accessories. But homemade creations always have a charm of their own. Whether it's the intrinsic uniqueness, or the satisfaction of seeing the result of one's efforts, a handmade piece of furniture provides the most satisfaction. It's not necessary, however, to be a skilled carpenter to do this. Thanks to something known as Ikea Hacks, you can create customized furniture.
For example, you could make a table or nightstand from two vases, following the guidance on the @our_home_style_ account on Instagram (IG).

In fact, in a video on this IG account, you can see how easy it is to transform two vases into a table with modern and soft lines.
You only need to buy three IKEA products: the PERSILLADE and CITRUSKRYDDA vases and the SNUDDA revolving tray. Then, you will need some silicone and black paint (canned or spray).
- Place the PERSILLADE vase on a work surface, turning it upside down so that the bottom faces upwards;
- Apply the silicone all around the edge and also in the centre;
- Take the CITRUSKRYDDA vase, and place it - keeping it upright - on the first vase. You will have to match the edges, so that they are centered perfectly. Then apply pressure. You don't see it in the video, but it's probably best to insert a heavy object into the empty vase on top, until the silicone has completely set;
- The wooden tray is the ideal size to close the top of the second vase, but before doing so, if you prefer, you can paint it. In the video, the woman does this with extreme care;
- When you have painted the tray, you use it as the lid.
