Having a lot of clothes to choose from is a great little luxury in life. But this also means having to find space for them at home, and available space may be limited. When it comes to all-purpose clothes like jeans and work trousers, it's handy to know where to store them so that they are always easy to find and get to.

It is true that, to increase the space in the wardrobes and drawers, we can resort to using tips like folding them super-compactly or vacuum-storing them - but these solutions are not exactly user-friendly for clothes we wear frequently.

So, what is the best solution? You could resort to using a method for which you only need a hanger. Note: you will need a triangular hanger, i.e. one that also has the horizontal piece, to hold trousers.

A French couple, Jimmy & Laura, show how to use this method on Instagram.

This is a quick and easy method that takes only a few seconds to execute.

  • Fold the pants in half lengthwise - just like you usually do - reducing them to just one leg width;
  • Lay them flat on the bed  and tuck the bottoms (together) into the space inside the crutch, holding the hanger's hook towards you.
  • Bring the crutch up to one third of the trouser leg;
  • Fold the pants back on themselves from the bottom;
  • Pass the bottom of the crutch through both belt loops that are exposed on the side.

Now, the trousers are ready to hang up, taking up little space and without forming any annoying creases. You can see this procedure in detail in the video shown below:
