Cleaning the detergent dispenser drawer of the washing machine is easy: in fact, you just need to get an old towel and, with the help of one of the natural products listed below, you can succeed in this chore. Here's how to proceed:

  • baking soda: this is perhaps the first remedy that comes to mind when you want to clean and sanitize areas in the house. Its slightly abrasive action, in fact, helps to remove even the most stubborn dirt and its sanitizing action will ensure the elimination of mold and other germs. Make a thick paste with baking soda diluted in water, dip the towel in it, then put it on the areas to be treated and leave it on to act until the mixture has dried. At this point, remove the paste by rubbing it and the mold will disappear in an instant.
  • vinegar: another well-known remedy for cleaning and sanitizing items in the house. Just dip the towel in the vinegar and place it in the drawer, leaving it to act for 2 hours before rinsing off and drying.
  • lemon or citric acid: these are two remedies that act in the same way as vinegar; in the first case, squeeze a lemon and immerse the towel in it, in the second case, dilute 150 g of citric acid in 1 liter of water and use the mixture to wet the towel. At this point, proceed as for vinegar, placing the wet towel on the stains and leaving it to act for about 2 hours before rinsing off and drying.
  • hydrogen peroxide: last but not least, this is an excellent remedy for eliminating mold, although much less commonly used than the previous ones. It works like lemon and vinegar, so wet the towel and leave it on for about 2 hours before rinsing off and drying. You will see that the mold will stay away for longer!
