  • Wooden floors: we know that these should be washed as seldom as possible with water to prevent damage, and a vacuum cleaner is the ideal means of wood floors. If the home is very busy and there are also pets (who use the garden), then vacuuming should be done two or three times a week. Typically, even when the floor appears to be free of debris and dirt, there may be dust mites present. The important thing is to use suitable tools and accessories, which do not scratch the floor when passing over it.
  • Rugs, carpets and upholstery: from the floor to the sofas, where there are fabrics that come into contact with our clothes and shoes, dirt forms quickly. For these surfaces, it is best to use the right accessories. As for frequency, twice a week is recommended, with a deeper cleaning (with water or steam) once a month.
  • Tile floors: once a week is recommended for washing a tile floor - less often if there isn't too much dirt (sweeping in the interim should be fine).

However, if we have pets at home, then it is probable that the frequency of vacuum cleaning should be increased, especially if the fur of our four-legged friends are allowed on the sofas and armchairs. But there are also other methods, if you don't want to take out the vacuum cleaner every time: for example, use rubber gloves or a squeegee and pass them over the upholstery to pick up the bulk of the hair.

In short, it seems that your vacuum cleaner should always be ready for use!
