Vinegar spirits, also commonly known as white vinegar, is a mixture of water and acetic acid made from wine vinegar.
White vinegar is well known for its cleaning, degreasing and disinfectant properties, which makes it a perfect ally for all kinds of household chores. And we cannot overlook the fact that it is a readily available, cheap and completely natural product.
Among the chores we can use it for is to clean the entire shower stall. Here is how:
Creativo
- Eliminate limescale: one of the main enemies of the shower is obviously limescale. Whether we are talking about the tiles, the shower cubicle or the taps, limescale must be kept at bay and treated effectively. And white vinegar can do this. Transfer some to a spray container and spray it, undiluted, on the areas to be cleaned. Leave it to act for 10/20 minutes (depending on the degree of dirt or limescale incrustation to be removed). You can remove the dirt with a cloth, a sponge or, in case of particularly difficult encrustations to be treated, an old toothbrush. Rinse off and dry with a clean microfiber cloth.
- Treating mold: mold can proliferate in the humid shower stall area. To remove it with white vinegar, you can use a microfiber cloth. Soak the cloth in vinegar and rub it over the areas affected by the mold and leave it on to act for 20/30 minutes. Then, remove the mold with a sponge or brush. Rinse off thoroughly and pat dry.
- Cleaning the glass: the glass in the shower is often the most difficult surface to clean. To do this using white vinegar, dilute two cups in 500 ml of water and transfer the mixture to a spray bottle. Spray on the glass and dry with a clean microfibre cloth, absorbent kitchen paper or newspaper. You will notice big difference.
