Some of the most popular potato chips (crisps) have been sold for many years now in cylindrical, cardboard tubes: thick and resistant cardboard tubes, reinforced at the edges, which manage to preserve - most of the time - the chips inside them. It doesn't take us long to empty these tubes and we don't think twice before throwing them away. But these tubes could be recycled and used creatively.

Their cylindrical shape lends itself to being transformed into useful, decorative accessories - all of which can be customized using different techniques. Check out the ideas below:

They are ideal for transforming into vases for flowers - artificial or dried, of course: to decorate them you can use paints (metallic paints make a great impression) or even cover them with patterned paper.

By combining the patterns on the paper coverings with the type of flowers you want to put in them, you can create truly unique arrangements.

Another type of cladding you can use is stones or semi-precious stones glued to the tube!

These tubular containers are beautiful not only for displaying flowers, but also for organizing various objects. For example, holding your knitting needles!

Or, they can be converted into kitchen utensil holders, and similar. And they don't take up much shelf space!

Given their shape, they naturally lend themselves to storing long types of pasta, such as spaghetti and similar.

You could equip them with hooks and "arms" to make DIY jewelery holders to keep all your precious items close to hand.

Some people make nice lamps out of them too, and this beautifully designed model is a great example.

Have you ever thought that a tube of potato chips could serve as a kind of stage for origami paper objects? A truly unique and creative decoration!

A tall tube is easy to transform into a lighthouse: it could be a table lamp, or maybe even a piggy bank too.

Online, you can find a thousand uses for these tubes - including building a castle with its turrets!
