3 tips from real estate agents to make your home look more attractive

Does it ever happen to you that you tidy up the house but it's still not quite as impeccable as you would like? And perhaps without understanding exactly what is wrong. Sometimes, familiarity makes us lose sight of the potential that the various furnishings have.

It is not a matter of vital importance in everyday life, but when it comes to wanting to make a good impression with guests, or - even more so - with potential buyers or tenants, it is best to remember some guidelines that can be handy . In particular, for the bathroom and the kitchen (but also the other rooms to a certain extent), there are 3 rules that real estate agents believe are fundamental for presenting a home at its best.

Clear surfaces

Cooking means having to work twice: to prepare the dishes and then to get the kitchen back to a decent condition afterwards. Sometimes, we are in a hurry and leave something lying around on the countertops, or even on shelves and the tops of furniture. These can be cook books, accessories and utensils that we use all the time. But when it comes to attracting the attention of buyers and tenants, we need to make the house a little less "personal". It doesn't matter that everything is clean: the presence of these objects needs to be removed. Clear and empty all visible surfaces as best you can.

This is even more true for the bathroom, where generally everything laying around will be personal effects.

Clean towels

If you have some dirty or wet tea towels in the kitchen, and/or if there are used towels in the bathroom, they will make a bad impression on visitors and guests. It takes very little effort to replace them with clean ones which are neatly folded.

Plants, even artificial ones

A touch of green refines any environment and makes it more welcoming. This factor is often overlooked, but a vase of flowers or plants strategically placed really helps. The ideal is that the plants are real, but even artificial ones (well made), will help a lot - but remember to dust them and remove any cobwebs.

These may seem like simple tips, but they really make a difference!
