The kitchen is the area where we spend most of the day, from having breakfast as soon as we get up in the morning to eating dinner before going to sleep at night. It is not only the place where meals are cooked and eaten, but often also the place where we receive our guests and where we entertain friends and relatives. This is why it is essential that our kitchens are always organized in the best possible way. Properly organized, everything will be in its place close to hand and the kitchen will be pleasant and welcoming.

But what can you do when, no matter how hard you try, your kitchen always seems to be chaotic and messy? Here are several ideas to inspire you:

1. Grater utensil holder

Recycle old graters into utensil holders: give new life to objects you no longer use and your kitchen tools will finally be neat and tidy

2. Rake wine glass holder

Do you have an old rake and are you thinking of getting rid of it? Stop and think before tossing it. Hanging on the wall of your kitchen, the prongs part of a rake can become a practical wine glass holder.

3. Knife block literature

Old books can make an excellent block for your kitchen knives.

4. Tea-time

For fans of hot drinks, this is the ideal solution for the numerous cups and mugs that you will certainly have in the kitchen. All you need is an old pallet, some hooks and a little imagination.

5. Cutlery always in its place

A few empty tin cans can become a practical cutlery holder. This will free up the drawers from a messy tangle of forks, knives and spoons.

6. Pantry

If you have very little space left in the pantry, take advantage of the free space on the walls of your kitchen by putting up shelves. Replace boxes of pasta and rice with beautiful glass jars, and they will make a great impression.

7. A coffee corner

Keep everything you need to serve coffee in order by using stacked shelving units. Coffee, cups and sugar will all have their place and will always be ready for use.

8. Lids

Lids of pots are always difficult to keep neat. So why not store them on the inside of doors of the kitchen units? Just a few wooden dowels and the problem is solved.

9. Towels

Mount a towel holder rail on inside of the sink cabinet door and it will be easier to keep your kitchen looking tidy.
