- To absorb bad odors: Rice is really phenomenal in absorbing smells of any kind, and is a bit like baking soda. You can use it in any room of the house, including the bathroom, where unpleasant odors of various kinds are more frequent. - To absorb humidity in the home: In addition to absorbing odors, rice has the ability to absorb and remove humidity in the home. For this reason, placing cups or bags full of rice around the home will help dehumidify the air as well as helping to neutralize unpleasant odors.
