Dust in and on the radiators: how to get rid of it easily and completely using a wet wipe
Dust is a constant and unwanted "guest" in our homes and although we remove it regularly, every day it returns. And if there are places that we regularly dust, other areas and objects often escape our attention. How many of us, for example, regularly clean the tops of cabinets, cupboards and other tall/high furniture?
Among the items we often forget to dust are the radiators. And if we do remember to dust them, are we really sure we're doing it efficiently? Most likely, this is not the case: dust settles everywhere, even in the most unexpected places and in some cases it is really difficult to remove it from a radiator. However, there are some tips we can use to clean our radiators from dust simply and completely. Let's discover these together:

The most difficult part of radiators to clean is the space between the fins, especially in models where the fins are very wide and the space between them is very narrow.
For total dust removal, take a wet wipe and tie a knot in one end. Then insert the knot into the gap between the fins and slide it downwards. Repeat this operation along the entire length of the radiator, replacing the wet wipe when it becomes very dirty. The wipes are very convenient for cleaning and sanitizing the radiator, and also leave a pleasant scent.
This method can also be used with moistened, dust-trapping cloths. If you don't have any, you can easily make them by moistening regular cloths with a mixture of water and vinegar, or water and lemon, or water, alcohol and essential oils.
If you need to wash your radiators, perhaps at the beginning of the winter season after months of inactivity, get some rags or towels or a shallow basin and fill a bottle with a mixture of water and alcohol or water and vinegar. Pour the mixture a little at a time into the radiator's nooks and crannies. You will soon see all the dirt slowly drain into the basin.
Now that your radiators are spotless and free from dust, enjoy your cosy, warm home!
