On TikTok @pigletinbed (a very popular content creator specializing in home furnishing and decoration), has published a video showing how you can easily transform a characterless window into an enchanting feature. Very little is needed to transform an entire environment.
It may seem odd to want to decorate a window, because this is not a well-know technique. But @pigletinbed shows us how and the effect it can achieve. Keep reading...
Proceed as follows:
- Choose a curtain that best suits the color of the room and the decorative elements you have in mind. In the TikTokker's case, she shows us that she prefers a simple curtain in beige that matches the surrounding walls.
- Combine a couple of elements that seem right for the surrounding style, matching and in theme with everything else. In the video, a transparent glass vase with small flowers is chosen for a romantic touch and a small ceramic amphora. The latter has the warm tones of the earth and sky that match the color of the wall and the curtain.
- Finally, a detail that makes all the difference is the string of lights that will light up the window frame in the evenings, creating a pleasant atmosphere and highlighting the decorations. The lights used by the creator are in the shape of small jars with cork stoppers and threads of battery-powered fairy lights.
Obviously, the TikTokker's video is just a guide. There is no limit to creativity in this area.
