Refresh your home completely in one week: a foolproof method
Whether it's returning from the summer holidays or close to Christmas, there are times when we feel the need to refresh our entire home. We may want to throw away old, useless things or rearrange the furniture and furnishings to make our home more congenial and welcoming: there are many things we can do to get a tidy, clean home.
However, due to the magnitude of this task, we might give up before we even start. But, with a little organization and planning you can complete this mission in just 7 days. Read on to find out more:
Day 1: General tidying up
Creativo
The very first thing to do - on the first day of general cleaning - is to identify the areas of the greatest clutter and remove what is no longer needed. Second-hand clothes thrown haphazardly on furniture, beds or chairs, clean clothes tossed in a corner , old newspapers and magazines or unopened mail on the tables, toys left lying around on the floor: there are many possible sources of mess we can clean up. The task for the first day is to pick these up: you will see that the atmosphere immediately changes for the better.
Day 2: Eliminate the superfluous
Creativo
Select everything you want to throw away, sell or donate; toss out expired beauty products, donate books you don't read, and trash old newspapers and magazines that you are done with.
Day 3: the bathroom
Creativo
Now is the time to clean the bathroom: use a DIY product made with white vinegar or baking soda to clean and sanitize all the surfaces.
Day 4: the bedroom
Creativo
Rearrange the bedroom so that it becomes the perfect environment to relax and sleep in. For bed linen, choose natural fibers: they will promote your well-being, even at night.
Day 5: Plumbing and glass
Creativo
Take care of bad smells by cleaning out the plumbing and drains. You can use white vinegar, baking soda or citric acid with boiling water. Thereafter, clean the windows and mirrors using a microfibre cloth.
Day 6: the kitchen
Creativo
Degrease the entire kitchen using baking soda and lemon; don't forget the oven, and the space above the kitchen cabinets!
Day 7: Air the house
Creativo
This is actually good advice for every day: in fact, it is essential to change the air by opening all the windows of the home for at least 15-30 minutes every day. This will reduce humidity and the risk of mold growing.
