Christmas compositions using branches: 12 ideas to create a magical atmosphere at home
Thinking of ways with which to adorn the house for the Christmas holidays immediately evokes images of trees decorated with ornaments of all kinds. So, whether you want to add some extra decorations to the rooms of your home, or if there isn't space for a real tree, using compositions made of decorated branches is an excellent alternative to consider.
You can choose branches of many types and sizes: twisted or straight with bark of various colors or perhaps even painted - the options are endless. Check out the ideas below!
The advantage of using branches instead of a tree is also the fact that there is no need to use very large pots which take up a lot of space and also have to be decorated.
As for the hanging decorations, branches can accomodate these easily: colored baubels and colorful trinkets can be tastefully combined.
There are also metal or ceramic, miniature trees available and these can be an attractive and original alternative.
If the branches to be used are not very large and heavy, you can create compositions in a bottle!
Furthermore, using this method does not mean that oversized ornaments cannot be hung from a small branch!
Glass vases with filled with stones or other objects covering the base of the branch are very popular.
And don't forget the lights: a strip of fairy lights wrapped around the branches will make everything more magical when night falls.
Do you only have thin twigs available? It's not a problem: take a bunch and fill some vases or baskets with them, perhaps painting them white, silver or gold. And then, even just a few hanging ornaments will be enough to complete the composition.
And how about inserting the branches into a base containing succulents, even artificial ones?
And why not put a branch with green fronds attached (even if artificial) on a tall pedestal? This will provide a canopy from which to hang many beautiful decorations.
Increasingly popular is the trend of hanging the branches upside down!
And then there are more artistic compositions which we encourage you to try.
Happy Holidays!
