In a video, this creator shows the procedure to make very fragrant ,cinnamon-scented pine cones, to be used as decorative elemenst and as air fresheners. The method is quite simple and can be summarized in a few steps:
- To begin, place the pine cones on a baking sheet and put them in an oven to sterilize them.
- Remove the pine cones from the oven, boil them for about half an hour in a mixture of water and cinnamon sticks to give them their fragrance.
- Remove the pine cones from the water and place them in a plastic bag with an airtight seal (such as those used for freezing food).
- Add a few drops of essential oils to the bag (in this case, cinnamon and orange is recommended). Leave them in the bag for about 24 hours. After this time, you pine cone air fresheners will be ready.
- Let them dry out (in situ), placing them wherever you want to.
