Make stainless steel appliances and surfaces shine again using just one product
We are well aware that often, to obtain the best results in cleaning certain surfaces, it is necessary to use the right product. There are materials, in fact, that require particular care when being cleaned. But in the case of metal - or rather stainless steel that is used in the kitchen and for many appliances - special cleaning products are not always necessary.
In fact, you can take advantage of a more commonly found, cheap "ingredient" which can do a great job on stainless steel. Have you guessed what it is? Read on to find out:
As we can see in a video from TikTokker @cleaningwithgabie's account, the product in question is baby oil. We certainly all know of some famous brands, and it is easy to find in supermarkets. Considering that baby oil also comes in handy for a other uses - from skincare to gum hygiene - it doesn't hurt to have a bottle or two in the home.
To use it to polish stainless steel surfaces (even if the video does not state it specifically), it is always advisable to first wash the surface with a delicate detergent (Marseille soap can do this), especially if there are food stains or other dirt present. Once the bulk of the dirt has been removed, proceed to polishing the metal with the baby oil.
You will only need to use a microfiber cloth and the baby oil.
Pour a small amount on the cloth (use only a small amount), then rub on the surface with regular movements until you no longer see any streaks or oil residue. Continue until you have made the entire surface shine. Watch the video here.
On the other hand, when you have to clean off baked-on encrustations, a tip that many resort to is to use WD-40 (a famous lubricant). Have you ever tried any of these remedies?
