10 creative ideas to recycle your old denim clothes
Who doesn't have at least one old pair of denim jeans at home (or some other garment made from denim)? They can be trousers of all shapes and sizes, shirts, jackets, skirts, dungarees and more. Denim goes with practically every color and fabric, so you can use them all year round and on many different occasions.
From frequent use, however, even denim clothing can wear out. In this case, you can patch them or you can recycle the fabric to make many other objects - furnishings and fashion accessories included!

And not just round placemats: consider making rectangular ones too. And why not make them from a pair of jeans that has worn out? You can then decorate them as you wish, perhaps even adding contrasting hems.

Denim pocket are also perfect to make larger trivets, perhaps sewn together (for a pot). Or, you can use them as singles to make coasters!
Squares of denim, perhaps also combined with squares of other fabrics: sew them together to make a truly unique patchwork blanket.
The techniques for creating a patchwork piece are varied, and for those with the skills, a padded, double-sided blanket can be made.
Another idea for using demin pockets: secure them to a fabric panel (perhaps also in denim) to make a very useful wall organizer.
Denim clock: simple and versatile shapes just like the garment it comes from.
Are you skilled at sewing? You will surely know then how to use the remnants of jeans to make a useful bag.
