Sometimes, these are methods that we have learned from our parents; other times, it's useful advice we have discovered. And not all tips come from the web: you may already have a whole arsenal of tips that make household chores more efficient that you have learnt from others. But online, there are tips that have proved to be popular.

Everyone has a favorite method for this chore: toothpaste, hydrogen peroxide or many other products are used to clean grouting.

But have you ever thought of a method to prevent dirt getting into the joints? Some resort to candle wax: take a candle, (translucent or white), and rub it into the joint so that it leaves a layer of wax that waterproofs the grouting. It will be necessary to do this from time to time, but it could save you from the painstaking work of removing dirt and mold from every nook and cranny!

Magazine racks, often also used for filing documents in the office, are perfect for tidying up the (internal) doors of the kitchen units (and also the bathroom) ...

Instead of buying a special roll holder/dispenser for the kitchen, you could use a bottle rack, and in each slot, place the roll (in its box)!

This solution is much better than piling everything onto a chair. Take two identical, vertical bookcases (or create them with from crates) and join them with a rod in the center. Coats, shoes, accessories and various clothes can be sorted out by this DIY wardrobe.
