Simplifying life in the kitchen: ingenious tips to save time and effort
In the kitchen, small inconveniences often occur that cause us to waste a lot of time and cause considerable annoyance: foods that sticks to the pots; burning a whole loaf of bread or cake in the oven; forgetting to use products before they expire; etc. We never really think about it, but there are lots of simple tips that allow us to avoid these problems, saving us time and effort.
From the recovery of a loaf (or a cake) which has been burnt (on the surface), to the preservation of bread in a bread box, here are some tips from TikTok to simplify your life in the kitchen.
1. Cooking problems
The first tip we recommend is about cooking in the oven: how many times have you lined your molds with parchment paper or paper cups and then found they are stuck to the pan because the paper broke during the cooking? To avoid this problem, you can sprinkle some rice grains on the bottom of the mold before lining it: they will make it easier to remove the paper once it comes out of the oven.
2. Fresh bread for longer
These days, we have many buying possibilities if we want to purchase long-life products: the shelves of shops and supermarkets are full of long-life foods and are often useful in an emergency or when we are in a hurry and have no way to prepare fresh food at home. Among these ready-to-use products there is sandwich bread: always soft and very long-lasting compared to fresh bread, it does not have the same taste but it is still useful if we forget to buy it or do not have time to prepare fresh bread at home. The drawback, however, is the poor shelf life after opening; to extend the life of sandwich bread, you can use a really simple tip.
Take a plastic bag (the one in which the bread comes is fine too), put the bread in it, and then put the loaf in an airtight container. Simple, right?
