Soft potassium soap is a product that has now become an icon for cleaning. It is a product that can solve a lot of household problems and, as it is completely natural, it is quite safe for us and the environment.

The most popular type is made only from water, coconut oil and glycerin. It can be used as a natural insecticide (containing substances harmful to insects but non-toxic for mammals) or as a detergent/perfumer for the laundry. It is, in all respects, a very useful product.

To make it even more versatile, it can be transformed into a natural detergent which can be used almost everywhere. Read on to find out more:

Turning soft soap into a liquid detergent is simple and very useful. Taking into account that the indicated dose is 1 stick of soap per 200 ml of water you can proceed as follows:

  • Put 1 liter of water in a fairly large pot and add five small cubes of soft soap.
  • Bring the water to a boil and, stirring constantly, dissolve the soap cubes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  • If you want to make the detergent a little more fragrant, you can add, at your discretion, a few drops of an essential oil you like.
  • Transfer the detergent thus obtained into a plastic container (this can be a spray bottle, if you want).

Preserved in this way, the detergent can be useful for cleaning windows, mirrors, bathrooms, most surfaces and tiles of all kinds, stoves and hobs and for perfuming the laundry. In addition to being non-toxic and low-polluting, it is an excellent way to make significant savings. On YouTube, a video was released where this DIY detergent is shown in use. Watch this and you will immediately want to try this amazing product (if you have not already done so).
