Make your floors shine with an awesome DIY cleaner
As you know, washing the floors is one of the household chores we spend the most time on. Having a clean and shiny floor contributes to at least 50% of the cleanliness and order of a home. Usually, however, it is customary to carry out this cleaning with the help of expensive and, most significantly, non eco-friendly detergents.
There are products of all kinds on the market. But how about making your own with ingredients that you have at home, spending very little and polluting even less? Not to mention the incredible fragrances that can only be obtained with the addition of an essential oil.
Here's how to do this:
In a video on TikTok, @vekalife24, an expert cleaner, shows the method:
- Put one and a half liters of water on the stove to boil.
- Separately, in a bucket, mix a scoop of dish soap and a cup of white vinegar.
- Pour the boiling water, and another two liters of water at room temperature, into the bucket, stirring to mix all the ingredients.
- To this solution, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to give the liquid a pleasant fragrance.
- Vacuum the floor properly. Then, dip a mop into the solution in the bucket and get cleaning with your DIY detergent.
One piece of advice we would like to give you is to avoid using the detergent on marble, granite or wood surfaces. Since these materials are quite delicate and difficult to treat, it is advisable to use commercial products for these.
