Teapots and kettles, which are always full of water - and very often it is tap water - are often affected by limescale deposits. This is due to the mineral residue of particularly hard water, and it is a type of encrustation that does not come off easily.

To eliminate it easily, mix 230 ml of water and 230 ml of white vinegar, and boil this mix in the kettle for a few minutes, then empty out. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.

If you have any white surfaces, such as the ceramics of sanitary ware, you can use borax and sodium bicarbonate. Mix it in equal parts and then add water until you get a paste that you can spread and rub in with a sponge or soft cloth. This is a slightly abrasive product, so do not use on wood or delicate stone surfaces.

Clean fans

We don't always pay attention to fans, but they get covered in a lot of dirt, which is why they should be cleaned once a month during the periods when they are heavily used. If not, they end up spreading the dust and dirt that settles on the blades and grates throughout the room.

Without taking them apart, you can clean them with a mix of 2 tablespoons of baking soda, one of liquid dish soap and 230 ml of white vinegar. Spray or spread the mixture on the fan, taking care not to let it get into the electrical circuits (which you can cover with a plastic bag). The put a bag over the fan and switch on (lowest setting), so that the dirt is blown into the bag itself. Finish cleaning with a soft cloth, removing any residue by hand.

There are various ways to deodorize a garbage pail: some put newspaper at the bottom, before lining with the usual bin liner. And maybe also add a little baking soda or dry coffee grounds.

Another way that is often recommended online is to wet some absorbent paper towels or kitchen paper with a drop of odor-fighting laundry detergent and place it directly in the bin bag, along with the garbage.

Stainless steel surfaces deserve to be shiny and free from streaks and fingerprints. To do this, wet a sponge or soft cloth with water, then sprinkle a little baking soda on it and rub the surface gently. Baking soda is abrasive, so don't rub too hard. You will see that the dirt and grease stains will disappear and the steel will gleam again.

Great work!
