The world is divided into those who prefer to drink still water, and those who prefer sparkling or carbonated water. The difference, we all know, lies in the presence or absence of those bubbles that alter the liveliness of the water itself. So, in some homes, sparkling water is always available, and everyone has their favorite brand.
Liquid water on our planet becomes fizzy when carbon dioxide is added to it, and this additive seems to make the water not only different in taste, but also makes it capable of helping out when we are cleaning our homes! Read on to find out more:
- Jewelery: fill a small bowl with sparkling water, add a couple of drops of mild dishwashing liquid, and put the jewelery to be cleaned into the water. Leave the pieces for several hours (or even overnight) and then you just have to agitate them a little in the water, rinse off and dry with a soft cloth.
- Car windshield: when you find yourself without a special product for cleaning the windshield, you can use sparkling water, poured onto the glass. There are those who also use sparkling water to clean the mirrors at home!

- Stains on fabrics: if you act quickly, as soon as a stain is caused by food or drink, using sparkling water on fabrics will be more effective than using normal water. And this is true also for the upholstery of furniture! You just need to pour a little sparkling water on the stain and gently dab it with a soft cloth.
- Pots and pans: when burnt food remains on the bottom of pots it is always a nuisance to remove. In addition to using ordinary soapy water on them - or even vinegar - you can try uisng a little sparkling water, to be poured into the pot while it's still hot.
- On stone countertops: in the kitchen, in the bathroom and elsewhere, we often find stone countertops, which should never be washed with aggressive degreasers and detergents. Sparkling water is an alternative to try out.
- Ceramic, glass and porcelain dishes and stainless steel surfaces: due to its effectiveness and delicacy, many use sparkling water to clean and polish these materials as well. Some keep silver cutlery soaking in sparkling water for a few minutes before drying and setting the table - it seems that the cutlery will become even more brilliant!
