11 breathtaking designs for dream pools that adorn the garden tastefully
A swimming pool has always been an asset that brings great value to any property, even when it comes to a small plunge-pool of a more common design. In some cases, however, the shape and appearance of these pools make them true masterpieces of landscape architecture, which are installed in private gardens in a truly elegant manner.
They can be modern and articulated in various areas, even having water features and flower beds integrated into the surrounding environment. Alternatively, they can look like truly natural oases, which harmonize perfectly with the landscape. Be enchanted by some truly dream-like pools like the ones shown below:
Simple but very refined: an area paved with dark stone slabs, which frames a swimming pool with a geometrically precise shape and with a very convenient set of steps, which can be accessed directly from the relaxation area. From the beds to the water, is just a matter of taking a few steps.
It is not massive, but it has everything: an area with a fountain and a splashpool, and a larger part to swim in. All perfectly matched to the paved area around it and even to the brazier / grill. And with two more decorative lighting braziers on one side, it is very romantic in the evenings!
A pool with a soft shape that imitates a natural body of water: around it, there are colored stone slabs, such as porphyry (igneous quartz), but above, many flower beds with aquatic plants that make everything look very exotic. The bottom of the pool, on the other hand, suggests tropical waters, thanks to the resin sand.
And if instead the edges and the bottom are inlaid with stones and rocks - which over time will also become host some aquatic plants - you have a real artificial lake that seems completely natural. And a wooden pier is (almost) mandatory!
Not only masonry can be used to surround the pool: the area around a swimming pool can also be made of wood, which will be appropriately treated and carefully maintained. This is a choice that goes perfectly with the lawn, too!
If digging a swimming pool hole is not possible, above ground pools can also be set into wooden platforms that become truly beautiful.
Not enough space? The pool could end up filling the space on just one side of the garden and still be beautiful to behold.
There are also ideas for adding details to more classic pools over time, such as concrete water slides: the staircase goes up on one side of the miniature mountain, and the slide returns to the water on the other.
Even using stone, these pool slide ideas always have a great effect. And often in the center of the small "hill" has a waterfall which flows back into the pool itself (down the slide).
Dancing water fountains and concrete / resin sun beds: think of the coolness when lying just under the water surface under the sun.
To avoid splashing and noises that may annoy the neighbors, elegant glass barriers can always be installed, and the pool area will feel even more private and protected.
Which of these ideas do you like best?
