Cinnamon not only serves to enrich an infinite number of dishes with its unmistakable aroma and taste, but it can also be useful in the care of plants. This really super versatile spice from the kitchen, in fact, has a series of beneficial effects on plants, making it a valid alternative to many more aggressive chemicals.

It must obviously be remembered that all natural remedies take longer to show positive effects than artificial products, but using cinnamon tree bark which has been reduced to powder (this is the spice we buy), can be really advantageous. Read on to find out more:

Sometimes, you might use seeds to growing some plant, you to see them germinate, lthey ook vigorous, and healthy but then end up wilting and dying. Sometimes it is sometimes due to the so-called "damping down" condition, caused by the presence of fungi.

Cinnamon has fungicidal properties that can prevent this from happening. And it also works with other common fungal diseases in older plants too.

How do we use cinnamon as a fungicide?

Prepare a spray by mixing a little cinnamon powder in hot water and letting it infuse for at least one night, then filter and spray on the plants to be treated, and also on the soil around the plant.

If you want to keep ants away from your plants, you can use cinnamon, which these insects don't like to walk on. You can use it at home or outside - just sprinkle the areas where the ants march with cinnamon powder, perhaps in also around doors and windows, or better still, where you have identified their access points.

There are also those who mix cinnamon powder with the sand of the children's sandboxes, to keep these areas free from ants.

There are packages of rooting hormone in powder on the market, but they are not always easy to find. Cinnamon works the same way and is found everywhere.

When you need to put the cuttings in jars, wet the ends with the cut ends in a little water and then dip them in a small bowl with cinnamon powder, and then put the cuttings in the jar / pot you have prepared. It will also provide an additional defense against any fungi!

These are simple remedies worth trying!
