When it comes to the home environment, it seems that there is never enough space. Managing the home is often tiring, especially when many people, with their different needs, all live together under the same roof. And this is even more tiring if the home is not particularly large or spacious.

Optimizing space at home is a real goal of many. One of the things we need to consider in this regard is the furniture - do we have too much cluttering up the home and we can easily get rid of some pieces? But this is sometimes not enough, and one may have to resort to other methods to gain more space and allow the home's occupants to live more comfortably.

Space-saving shelves for plates, cups, glasses and similar are easily found in shops and are a great way to organize cabinets, cubbies and drawers.

Plastic, transparent storage containers can also fulfill the same function and are perfectly suited to tidying up, for example, all the products one finds in a bathroom. These also have the advantage of being closeable and therefore are useful for separating, in a hygienic manner, all the products necessary for intimate use.

Closet / wardrobe organizers, available everywhere and in any shape or size, are perfect, for example, for storing bags that are usually a rather bulky accessory.

You can't imagine how much space you can gain with just one coat hanger. By attaching hooks, you can hang up belts, scarves, ties, necklaces and everything that needs to be stored in an orderly manner.

Another set of items that are difficult to keep neat, while taking up as little space as possible, are the pots and pans. However, by using dividers for the pots and their respective lids, reordering these will be much less problematic. The lids can be put into a special pocket attached to the unit's door.

A very special spice rack is made using a blackboard hanging from any vertical surface of the kitchen and by attaching small magnetic containers to it. The magnets can be placed as you like, and you can write in chalk - above or below them - the names of the spices they contain. The practical benefits of this spice rack are obvious.

A fabulous bookcase, situated in the basement, could be a real feature (as well as freeing up a considerable amount of space).

Vertical retractable / sliding shelves are, without a doubt, one of the best space-savers ever. You can truly us them almost anywhere. You will gain a lot of space that would otherwise remain unexploited.

And what about the walls behind doors? They are usually always, and obviously, unused. However, if we creat a small niche with narrow shelves, a lot of space where we can store objects can be gained. Even visually, the effect is not bad at all.

Finally, here is one space-saving furnishing proposals that can be found in shops. It is a very comfortable multipurpose sofa that becomes a coffee table with matching stools and poufs. There are many of these types of solutions and they are usually very suitable for furnishing sitting rooms. Nothing prevents you, however, from furnishing a larger apartment using these space-saving models.
