11 great ideas for recycling pallets and making furniture for the home and garden
There is a reason why pallets remain one of the most popular materials in the DIY world: they provide sturdy wood, are easy to disassemble and re-assemble as needed, and they lend themselves to a myriad of different uses. In addition, they are definitely cheaper than any other type of wood you may want to use in DIY projects.
So pallets have always be the main protagonists used in captivating, home-made furnishing projects: used in the making of furniture for the various rooms of our homes but also for decorating the garden, all customized according to our tastes. The important thing is never to forget to sand the pieces of wood properly, since otherwise you run the risk of getting injured by splinters.
Coffee tables: with pallets you can create a thousand different models. They can even contain a compartment at the top, covered with glass, in which to arrange various objects, such as sand and shells, or house a composition of succulent plants.
If you need smaller furniture, it is often difficult to find pieces that are of the correct size to meet our needs. Pallets can help in this event and a good example is a customized side table (as shown here).
