Dream bathroom designs: 10 furnishing ideas to admire
Interior design can give one great satisfaction, and when you have a large and bright space available it is a shame to waste it with bland decor and furnishings. In fact, even the bathroom can become a refined-looking room, with colors and furnishing materials that give life to an environment capable of inspiring relaxation. After all, it is the room where we take care of ourselves, and it is nice to pamper ourselves in a relaxing, welcoming surrounding.
Below you will find some examples of some very popular bathroom furniture elements, also proposed by design studios that have been able to bring out the best from every free space available (and also following some popular trends that have emerged in recent years).
This bathroom with a terracotta hexagonal tile floor, is the work of the design studio, Emily Pueringer. It is located in Minnesota (Maple Plain, Hennepin County), and is a beautiful fusion of styles: the majolica cladding around the mirrors goes very well with the light, wooden furniture and the vintage-style freestanding bathtub that allows you to enjoy the landscape view outside: it is clearly inspired by decor of older times - but with a modern approach.
Metro station-style tiles, white with black joints, are a popular trend in interior design in recent years - especially in kitchens and bathrooms. They are very popular in the shower cubicle, serving as a backdrop to the dark profiles of the glass walls. This look was devised by Crisp Architects, for a remodeled farmhouse in upstate New York.
Again, tiles in the metro station style, but this time in a bold olive green: more decisive than the bush green that is so popular, this shade of green must be managed with insight. The project is one by Kate Walker Design and shows us a bathroom with only basic furniture, and which makes us think about of the beauty of nature. This bathroom is located in a bungalow house in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
Combining a nautical style with the vintage taste of metro station tiles: a blue coating on the lower part of the white walls becomes the ideal background for an elegant decor, which makes one think of the seaside resorts of yesteryear. This is a design by Victoria Ford of North Carolina.
What if wallpaper is used instead of tiles or mosaics? This is Adam Ellis' idea from the Chartered Practice Architects for a renovated Victorian house in London.
Pure forms, a duet of black and white and a hydromassage tub (jacuzzi) in the center creates the illusion of one entering a swimming pool (or bath house).
Marble and metal fittings: a combination that may seem over the top, but if the shapes are pure and essential, there is no risk of it looking gaudy.
Gray and pink: a small bathroom that is a truly minimalist design treasure.
Another idea for a small bathroom that can be adding hanging with plants over the tub.
