This artist's name is Javier Pérez, but on social networks you can find him as cintascotch. He is a South American artist who works as a graphic designer, and produces audiovisual content and collaborates with the digital agency “Cafeína” in Ecuador. Among his clients, he boasts Samsung and the Harvard Business Review - but what makes Javier Pérez so interesting? Among the works that he promotes online, are very simple drawings which have become famous through the way he sketches interactions with very common objects - objects  that are used every day without paying any attention to them.

Through his creative eyes, these everyday items become part of very his very attractive illustrations - 2D drawings with simple and basic features that transform the object placed on the canvas into something unexpected. Looking at the some examples, he drew a koala bear from a piano; and a curled up dog from a croissant. His motto is "Create every day, no matter what your skills are!" or “Create every day, no matter what talents you have!” Below you can see some of his works:

A delicious, curved croissant reminded the artist of the shape of a curled up dog, and it was sufficient just to place the croissant on a sheet of paper and then draw the lines of the sleeping dog around it to create this adorable illustration.

Have you ever imagined a basketball hoop could be made from a sewing thimble? Javier did, and then he added some orange wool to make the ball which is being dunked into the hoop.

A book with the cover up becomes a grand piano, complete with a pianist from another time.

Half an avocado with the seed still in the pulp, and turned upside down: this has become a reproduction of Munch's famous painting, The Scream.

Javier says he has won several competitions for the creation of posters, playbills, illustrations and animated content. It is the sketches he has posted to Instagram that have given him world fame. These are mainly sketches of where he combines drawings with real objects (like those seen above). His intent is to give people a "break from the saturation of photography" in general.

And with this recognition, he found himself collaborating with Volkswagen, Cosmopolitan, 7UP, Samsung, National Geographic and more.

"My works are very simple and minimalist. I hope you like them!" said Javier Pérez. You can see what he is capable of on his website or his Instagram and Facebook accounts.
